ABOUT ME

Hi there! Welcome to my blog. I'm Asil. I live in Windsor, Ontario and I'm currently studying Digital Journalism, English and Creative Writing at the University of Windsor. I'm a traveller, poet, writer, photographer, filmmaker, and journalist. 

I have always loved telling stories. When I was a kid, I used to tell anyone who walked in the house everything that happened that day. At seven years old, I knew I wanted to be a writer. At ten, I wanted to direct and act in movies because it allowed me to actually be the story. I fell in love with poetry and photography at 13 because of the ability to capture a moment, place, or feeling forever. Journalism lets me do all the things I love most: travel, learn, talk to people, ask questions, be honest and open-minded, take photos, film, write about it, and share it with everyone.
I’m a storyteller, and this blog is my way to share stories with you.
